In honor of Black History Month, our middle school basketball league embarked on a meaningful service project to commemorate the achievements and contributions of Black athletes who have inspired generations. Through a collaborative effort, participating school submitted videos, pictures, and excerpts highlighting the Black athletes who have left an indelible mark on their lives and the world of sports. From the electrifying dunks of Michael Jordan to the perseverance of Simon Biles, these submissions capture the essence of greatness, resilience, and trailblazing spirit embodied by Black athletes. Students shared why these athletes have motivated and inspired them, on and off the court.
